Waiting on Wednesday: The Last Magician

Hi guys! Today I'm here with a Waiting on Wednesday post, and forgive me if this post turns out to be quite weird, because a) I haven't done one in years, and b) I'm currently studying for my exams, so I'm typing this up real fast. In any case, let me introduce you to a fantastic as hell book, called The Last Magician, that is releasing this July.

Also, don't be confused - yep, I'm still on a hiatus, but, ya know, the #devilsowncontest is taking place, and I'm not about to lose all those entries I could get by writing a WoW post. SO ENJOY!

PS: Here's a link to the contest if you want to know more!

Stop the Magician.
Steal the book.
Save the future.

In modern day New York, magic is all but extinct. The remaining few who have an affinity for magic—the Mageus—live in the shadows, hiding who they are. Any Mageus who enters Manhattan becomes trapped by the Brink, a dark energy barrier that confines them to the island. Crossing it means losing their power—and often their lives.

Esta is a talented thief, and she's been raised to steal magical artifacts from the sinister Order that created the Brink. With her innate ability to manipulate time, Esta can pilfer from the past, collecting these artifacts before the Order even realizes she’s there. And all of Esta's training has been for one final job: traveling back to 1902 to steal an ancient book containing the secrets of the Order—and the Brink—before the Magician can destroy it and doom the Mageus to a hopeless future.

But Old New York is a dangerous world ruled by ruthless gangs and secret societies, a world where the very air crackles with magic. Nothing is as it seems, including the Magician himself. And for Esta to save her future, she may have to betray everyone in the past.

WHEN IS IT GOING TO BE PUBLISHED?

July 18th

WHY AM I EXCITED?

First of all, that cover is freaking AH-MA-ZING. Kind of simple, but at the same time totally eye-catching and not at all boring. As for the inside - I love fantasy novels so damn much, and everything I've heard about this book sounds fantastic.

SHARE WITH ME YOUR MOST AWAITED BOOK AT THE MOMENT!
